Functieomschrijving
Description of the Mission:
- Model and draft mechanical components of heavy machinery equipment for water infrastructure (movable bridges, locks, weirs, pumping stations, hoisting equipment, etc.).
- Process input from engineers and use it for 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks.
- Integrate the models into the overall 3D model to check interfaces and perform clash detection with models from different disciplines (civil engineering, steel design, etc.).
- Look for practical solutions and take into account the maintenance and installation of the machinery.
- After finalization and approval, prepare the required 2D and 3D drawings.
Vaardigheden
- A passion for mechanical design of heavy machinery equipment (bearings, shafts, gears, cranks, hinges, wheels, winches, cables, chains, hydraulic cylinders, motors, etc.)
- Solid software knowledge
- 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks
- Excellent modeling and drafting skills
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience setting up templates (part, assembly, BOM, and drawing)
- Knowledge of VBA to automate modeling and drafting processes is a plus
- AutoCAD
- English is a must; Dutch or French is a plus

Ervaring
- A bachelor’s degree in design and production technology or (electro)mechanical engineering, or equivalent through experience.
- Excellent experience with 3D modeling in Inventor or SolidWorks.
