Job Description

Responsible for the design of mechanical components in complex infrastructure projects such as movable bridges, locks, weirs, pumping stations, lifting equipment, etc.

Perform calculations and supervise drafting work.

Provide general and technical support to project managers and offer technical assistance in direct contact with clients.

Carry out various engineering studies and collaborate with other engineers/experts in electromechanical equipment or other disciplines.

Independently search for and develop technical solutions.

Stay up to date with new technologies and developments in the field.

Work in multidisciplinary teams where collaboration and sustainability are key.
Vaardigheden
- A passion for the mechanical design of heavy machinery and equipment
- A strong analytical mindset, a passion for calculations, and the motivation to further develop as an expert in the design (performing calculations and supervising drafting work) of electromechanical and hydromechanical drives and components of civil structures (movable bridges, locks, weirs, etc.)
- You have the ambition to become an expert in this field over time
- BA4-BA5
- VCA
- English is a must; Dutch or French is a plus
- Experience with: Inventor, Solidworks, Autocad, Mathcad, Matlab, Ansys (6-10 years)
Ervaring
- A Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil Engineer) in Mechanical Engineering or a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (Industrial Engineer) in Electromechanics
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in the field of mechanical design
