Our client is looking for candidates for a project in Antwerp.
This is a large-scale infrastructure project that plays an important role in improving mobility and accessibility in the region.
Job Description
As a Chief Site Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring that:

All work is carried out safely, regardless of the circumstances.

Activities are executed in accordance with various execution descriptions, thereby meeting the design and inspection plans. Any deviations are reported, and timely warnings are issued when necessary.

On-site work is performed correctly, including the work carried out by subcontractors.

Measures to mitigate potential environment-related (safety) risks or object-specific safety risks by subcontractors are monitored, including the provision of instructions to relevant personnel.

The quality of the end product is ensured and proven through timely and complete execution of first-line inspections.

You supervise the construction site and serve as the first point of contact for site workers and the surrounding environment. This includes communication with stakeholders (residents, businesses, public services, utility companies, etc.). Reports of damages and complaints from stakeholders are handled via the environmental manager.

All execution activities are carried out efficiently and on time.

You are responsible for the designated CBS items (work breakdown structure).

You provide input for cost control.

You prepare and follow up on equipment and labor schedules.

You organize kick-off meetings.

You report directly to the Project Manager.

You have strong practical and technical insight, without losing sight of administrative responsibilities.

You are socially skilled and highly organized, capable of communicating instructions clearly and effectively.

You have a working knowledge of Dutch, French, and English.

You possess a valid VOL-VCA certificate.

Expériences
- You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction sector, preferably in civil engineering.
